It is with heavy hearts that we say goodbye to Petunia, the last of the three sisters: Rosie, Petal, and Petunia.
Thank you, Petunia, for all the love, joy, and memories you brought to Maplewood Farm over the years. You were the longest surviving of the three sisters, a true testament to your strength and spirit.
As old age gradually caught up with her, Petunia began to slow down, spending more time resting and sleeping. Over the last week, she started to lose interest in food. Thanks to medication and the attentive care she received, we made sure she remained comfortable and pain-free. Sadly, the time has come for us to say goodbye.
Petunia was a fantastic lady with a big personality. Whether it was her curious nature, her charm, or simply her presence, she touched the hearts of so many. She will be deeply missed by our staff, volunteers, and the countless visitors who have known and loved her during her many years at the farm.
Wilson will miss her too. Thankfully, the two new piglets will help keep him company and provide friendship during this transition.
Run free, Petunia. Reunite with Rosie and Petal, enjoy all the treats you could ever wish for, and make yourself at home over the Rainbow Bridge.
You will be dearly missed but never forgotten.
❤️ Petunia
