Maplewood Farm is now offering programs to introduce children to farm life!

We are currently offering a variety of different farm programs to accommodate a range of ages, like: Children’s programs, Family Programs, Farm Workshops and more! We will also sometimes offer Mini sessions for a few of our programs.

Join us at Maplewood Farm for a fun and creative felting workshop designed for both children and adults! Discover the fascinating process of transforming sheep’s wool into felt as you learn about wool processing and its uses. Then, unleash your creativity to craft your favourite farm animal using colourful felted wool. This hands-on activity is perfect for all ages and a great way to connect with the farm’s wooly residents!

Chicken keeping basics

Thinking of starting your own backyard flock? This hands-on workshop will teach you the basics of raising happy, healthy chickens. Topics include housing, feeding, egg collection, seasonal care, and preventing common health issues. Participants will meet the farm’s chickens and practice handling, feeding, and egg collection.

Children get a firsthand experience learning how to interact with animals and learn about the animals we have on the farm. They will get a behind the scenes look into animal husbandry, grooming, and feeding. Each day will feature new and interactive activities.

Children will engage in immersive, hands-on experiences with a variety of farm animals, and farm activities. Farm camp gives children the time to learn about farm life, complete farm-themed projects, and take on responsibilities such as cleaning pens, feeding animals, and learning about the importance of routine care for the well-being of our animals.

Youth ages 7 to 11 years old.

Cancellation Policy: 2 weeks or more notice full refund, after 2 weeks 50% refund. Once the program has begun no refunds will be issued.
